READY, SET, VOTE: VOCAL ACTION FUND ANNOUNCES 2026 NEW YORK CITY ENDORSED CANDIDATE SLATE
NEW YORK — Today, the VOCAL Action Fund is proud to announce our slate of New York City candidates for the upcoming 2026 elections. The VOCAL Action Fund endorses the following candidates:
- Jessica Gonzalez Rojas — Senate District 13
- Julia Salazar — Senate District 18
- Yuh-Line Niou — Senate District 27
- Gustavo Rivera — Senate District 33
- Nathalia Fernandez — Senate District 34
- Latrice Walker — Assembly District 55
- Eddie Gibbs — Assembly District 68
- Karines Reyes — Assembly District 87
- Antonio Reynoso — Congressional District 07
- Brad Lander — Congressional District 10
- Beth Davidson — Congressional District 17
“The Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and State Island are home to people from all walks of life,” said Milton Perez, a New York City-based leader with the VOCAL Action Fund. “We need elected officials who represent all of us—not just rich donors. These candidates have proven their commitment to our communities. We’re ready to show out for these VOCAL Action Fund endorsed candidates because they’ve vowed to show out for all the people of New York City.”
“Within the VOCAL Action Fund, our politics are not grounded in politicians or those with political aspirations—but in the work, delivery, attitude, and beliefs of people who will fight for our communities. We have a closed interview process and although many have sought to apply, only a chosen few met the political criteria of the VOCAL Action Fund leaders. We’re bringing souls to the polls for our champions,” said Kim Smith, VOCAL Action Fund Political Director.
BACKGROUND:
The VOCAL Action Fund reviewed 2026 platforms and carefully evaluated the politics of each candidate. Candidates were vetted based on their commitment to real solutions and a politics grounded in justice, equity, and compassion. Those listed have proved their commitment to making progress towards ending homelessness, HIV, mass incarceration, and the failed drug war received an endorsement from directly-impacted VOCAL Action Fund leaders.
